1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including account details (name, email address, role), profile details, and any additional information you choose to submit while using Anischolar.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to create and manage accounts, provide platform features, personalize opportunities, support institutions and employers, improve service quality, and communicate important account or product updates.
3. Signup Data-Sharing Consent
During signup, we require explicit consent before account creation. By checking the consent checkbox, you provide affirmative permission for Anischolar to process your registration data and related profile data for account setup, identity and eligibility checks, opportunity matching, and platform delivery.
If consent is not provided, signup cannot be completed. We store a consent record (including timestamp and account metadata) for compliance, audit, and dispute resolution purposes.
For users under applicable age thresholds in relevant jurisdictions, a parent or legal guardian may be required to support or authorize account use in line with applicable law.
4. Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only where needed for service delivery, legal compliance, security, or with your consent. Categories of recipients include:
- Verified employers and recruiters for internships, jobs, and talent discovery workflows.
- Verified institutions and program partners for enrollment, verification, and student support.
- Opportunity providers such as scholarship, fellowship, and training program partners.
- Infrastructure vendors providing hosting, storage, analytics, email, and authentication services.
- Professional advisers, auditors, regulators, or law enforcement where required by law.
Data sharing is limited to the minimum information necessary for the relevant purpose, and partners are required to implement reasonable security protections and use restrictions.
5. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. Data is retained only as long as needed for legitimate operational, legal, and compliance purposes.
Our typical retention approach is:
- Account and profile data: retained while your account is active.
- Closed or deleted account data: retained for up to 24 months for fraud prevention and recovery.
- Consent and audit logs: retained for up to 7 years where legally or operationally required.
- Support and security logs: retained for up to 12 months unless extended for incident handling.
We may retain specific records longer where needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
6. Your Choices and Contact
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, port, restrict, object to, or delete eligible personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To submit a privacy request, contact Anischolar Support using official in-product or published support channels and include enough information for identity verification. We generally acknowledge requests within 7 days and aim to resolve them within 30 days, subject to legal allowances and request complexity.
7. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice through the platform.
