Annual Freshers Career Launchpad
Start with purpose.
Build early.
Graduate career ready.
An 8-week transformative journey that turns ambition into action, fears into strengths and uncertainty into confidence, from your very first year at university.
Discover who you are. Define where you're going. Build the career you deserve.
The Annual Freshers Career Launchpad (AFCL) is a transformative eight-week experience that empowers first-year university students to discover who they are, define where they are going and intentionally prepare for the careers they aspire to build.
Through guided self-discovery, career exploration and future-ready skill development, students gain the confidence, direction and practical competencies needed to maximize their university experience and transition successfully into the world of work.
AFCL ensures that students do not simply progress through university, they intentionally build towards meaningful careers, entrepreneurship and lifelong success.
In Uganda, too many graduates complete university with academic qualifications but without a clear career direction, practical experience or the competencies demanded by today's workforce. Students who begin their career development early are significantly better positioned to secure internships, build relevant skills, expand professional networks and transition successfully into employment or entrepreneurship.
Do not wait until final year. The decisions you make, the skills you build and the experiences you pursue in year one decide the opportunities you access, and the life you get to live, after graduation.
